Help in Buying Speedlight.?

I have NikonD5000. Someone please tell me can I buy Vivitar 285HV for my Camera in the below link.

My Confusion is they have mentioned that it is for "Pentax K-7, K-5, K-R, K20D, K200D, K2000 Digital SLR Cameras" Please Clarify.

The vivitar will work on any camera with a standard hot shoe, or via PC cable. This is still being made, it is not necessarily an old unit, although it is an old model.

This is a better flash than most TTL units, with a decent guide number, and full manual power control. Once you learn how to use a flash like this, you don't need (or want, in my case) TTL. Manual and auto thyristor units are not as persnickety as TTL models, and are much more consistent from shot to shot.

The flash will work just fine with your D5000.
