Professional Photo Tips, Info and Advice to help you shoot your Teen Pink Bikini Beach Model: Could you do this... NEW Digital Camera Site - Check It Out NOW! with even more helpful 'Photo Tip Info'
If your a photographer and you've had some experience using a camera photographing people, models, children, fashion or weddings and you consider yourself good or at least comfortable in doing so, there should be no problems with shooting a young Teen Model on a "Bikini Beach" location or in your home studio, and if you haven't done this type of photography and however daunting it might seem, it's really quite simple. All you need is a Digital SLR Camera and a little help.
Or could it be so: Apart from some very basic rules when it comes to shooting pictures of a minor and you being aware of these limitations, as long as you conduct your business professionally at all times, it's a no brainer!
Having been in the business of shooting bikini models and teen models in swimwear on the beach or in the studio for more than 30 years, believe me, I know how difficult it is to find a really good Model, especially a young Teen Model. But there is hope and if you have been asked to shoot a young teen 'wannabe' model, your about to gain some very valuable experience in fashion photography, by being thrown in the deep end and learning to swim the hard way.
Shooting a Young Teen Wannabe Model, is a whole lot different to her older counterpart, a full time professional Model... but I promise I'll help you through your learning curve.
However, when you have found your young teen model or 'supermodel to be' and before you start to shoot pictures with your digital camera, there are procedures to be followed.
Never approach the potential teen Model Girl by yourself and if her Mom or other senior member of her family is not present that's a definite NO, NO.
It's far better first to approach the Mom of the Young Teen, wannabe-Model and unless Mom is 100% behind the idea of her daughter being a model, then you best forget about it.
The Young Teen Model's Mom or appointed guardian, will always have to be present at the shooting sessions. This means there is a restriction in the availability of both Mom and model at the same time, especially if Mom is a working Mom, also keeping in mind that your young teen model may still be attending High School.
UNLESS you have written permission from her Mom or guardian, don't even think about it!
Lets assume you know the Mom of a penitential Teen Beach Model that you think looks really good, you'll need to run some digital camera test shots of her. This can be in the studio or at a beach location and could work out as an ice breaker for not only the model but more importantly for yourself, giving you the opportunity to practice shooting Teen Model photography, especially if your fairly new to this kind of work.
Once you have found a few poses that work well and look good, this will be invaluable to you when it comes to the the Photo Shoot Booking, either on a "Bikini Beach" or in your Home Studio, for example.
Don't expect miracles at first, from the new young Teen Model and even if she wants, or more lightly her Mom wants her to be a 'supermodel', it will take time to encourage her to feel at ease in front of your digital SLR camera. A few words of praise and helpful ideas for her to pose, will undoubtebly help.
A good trick is to stop for Ice cream, especially on a hot Summers day on a Bikini Shoot and for certain, this will add extra mileage to your photo shoot.
You will need her Mom or guardian to sign a 'Minor Model Release' form after the shoot. This is a standard form in the Industry, giving the right to the photographer to use the photographs and stating that the parent or guardian has agreed for him to do so.
On the next page: Fashion Teen Model - Bikini Beach You will need all your experience to pull off a professional style teen beach fashion shoot.
