Professional Photo Tips, Info and Advice to help you shoot your Bikini Beach Model. Bikini Beach Work Out...
An essential thing a young teen model should do, specially on a bikini beach, is to keep fit by working out and where better than on the beach on a fine sunny day in the winter months.
That was the theme behind this photo shoot and our teen model Maayan is no stranger to gymnastics and just loves to work out, which might explain her slim line diet figure.
Always placed somewhere in the first three places, of most athletic events and in particular sprinting, often finishing first, out running the competition. She is also an excellent swimmer and although not so involved in events like these in the winter months, in the summer you will find her always placed mostly in first or second place. She is also one of the top in her class in swimming and netball games as well.
So I asked our model Maayan if she was an expert on gymnasts and she answered that although she likes to work out most days, she doesn't consider herself as an expert on the subject.
But I think that this keep-fit idea, previously suggested by out little Teen Model herself, is a sound one and illustrates what all young models should be doing as part of their daily routine to keep in shape and keep a slim figure for modeling.
By the way, before our teen model got into posing for this short 'work out', she went for a run on the beach to warm up first.
Sensible healthy eating is also considered a good thing while keeping in shape and it always seems so unfair when some Models are trying so hard to loose a few pounds, while others seem to be able to eat whatever they want and get away with it.
It's also a known fact that regular eating times, whenever possible, will keep you in better shape than eating whenever you want, or 'binge' eating. Also eating salads and fresh fruit really make a big difference to your looks and skin completion.
Keep away from soft drinks and soda pop, it's far better to drink fresh fruit juice or water that sugar drinks.
We could also get into the subject of Vegetarian eating v. normal eating and from my experience, even as a vegetarian myself, I believe as long as you treat your body correctly regarding your eating habits, you'll be just fine.
Final comment on the matter, stay away from 'junk food' and try to find a more healthy food intake and you will immediately see and feel a real difference in you body.
On the more technical side of shooting images on your Bikini Beach in the winter months, the main problem you'll find, apart from the weather conditions, is first finding earlier hours in which to work in, when your young teen model has available out of school hours, keeping in mind that our Teen Model is still in high school, that's not so easy to do.
Secondly you will in most cases have to shoot when the sun is high in the sky, causing less flattering lighting conditions as our images show here.
We had previously mentioned on a few occasions in our pages, that the best time for photographers to shoot on location is 2 to 3 hours after sunrise or 2 to 3 hours before sunset when the sun is low in the sky and the light is soft and worm, but in the winter the light level is so low and the weather is much colder, making it impractical to work at these hours and the first thing noticeable is the light in the middle of the day is nowhere as pleasing which is the first thing you will notice in these images.
Another thing worth noting is that you should over compensate with your flash fill, as these results show that I should have done more so.
However by and large, I think the images illustrate the story adequately and hopefully an inspiration for all other model hopefuls that would like to take up modeling, that one of the first requirements is to keep your body in shape and regular excises.
