How can we make up for the horrible decade that has just passed?
Okay, I don't think anyone can deny that the "noughties" were an absolute black hole in world history. The United States, and much of the world, got itself involved in two absolutely pointless wars, led by a crazed right wing administration elected by a fraudulent supreme court decision. Little kids are watching crappy cheesy commercialized shows on the disney channel and everyone else is on a 24-hour CNN overload where all news seems to be breaking or "Just in". And don't even get me started with music, or the fact that we created a massive superficial economic bubble and destroyed it, driving ourselves into a deep recession.
But anyways, the question here is how to fix it. What can we do? Do we ditch the internet? Go back to phones that don't have video cameras but also don't drop calls?
How are we gonna ring in the new decade on January 31st to make it something unique and fresh? something, anything more interesting than the 2000s?
Retrogressing isn't the answer to anything.
